QinetiQ awarded $11.3m in contracts with US Marine Corps through its subsidiary Apogen Technologies
QinetiQ, through its subsidiary Apogen Technologies which owns Ocean Systems Engineering Corporation (OSEC), has been awarded three contracts worth $11.3 million with the US Marine Corps System Command Acquisition Center for Support Services (ACSS). Apogen will provide engineering, technical, acquisition, and logistics support services to the Marine Corps Systems Command.
"These awards are indicative of OSEC's past strong performance at US Marine Corps System Command, said Paul Leslie, President and CEO of Apogen Technologies. "We look forward to bringing the capabilities and breadth of Apogen to this expanded work, realising the promise of the Apogen-OSEC merger.
Apogen has entered into the second and final option year, valued at $8.9 million, to provide engineering, managerial, analytical and technical support for the US Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) C4ISR Communications, Intelligence & Networking Systems (CINS) Product Group (PG12). Under the terms of the contract, the support team is responsible for life cycle management of multiple PG12 programmes and systems for the Operating Forces and the Supporting Establishment, covering all phases of the acquisition process.
Apogen was also awarded two additional contracts valued at $2.3 million supporting the Program Manager, MAGTF Command and Control (C2)'s Ground C2 Systems and Team Fires efforts. Under these contracts, Apogen will provide engineering, technical, acquisition and logistics support to the US Marine Corps' efforts to develop integrated, interoperable, and capable Ground C2 and Fires systems. Both contracts have a base year period of over $1 million with two option years.
"We look forward to expanding our support of the Marine Corps with these awards by providing the technical and operational expertise our customer has come to expect, commented Ty Schieber, Executive Vice President, Engineering Integration Services Group.
