Major Middle East oil company chooses Bio-XK Series from BQT Solutions for their biometric access control requirement
BQT , Europe Ltd are pleased to announce that a major oil company in the UAE has chosen BQT's Bio-XK Series solution to meet their stringent biometric access control requirement.
The Bio-XK Series combines three technologies to ensure the very highest standards of security; triple (3) DES (Digital Encryption Standard), biometric fingerprint scanning and programmable key pad function. This means triple protection!
The Bio-XK biometric unit incorporates DESFire fingerprint software offering Triple (3) DES (Digital Encryption Standard ) encryption between a DESFire card and reader, delivering the most secure card transaction process available. This proven encryption is used daily by the UK Banking fraternity. By adding BQT's HSM unit (High Security Module) to the readers wiegand line to the access panel, the customer in effect has a 128 bit encrypted data line from card through reader to the panel and then the server - a unique process in today's world of security
BQT are global leaders in the field of designing high profile security solutions combining these technologies to offer the ultimate in access control and CCTV. Customers include Government Agencies, Military, Security Agencies and Financial Institutions and Major Corporates worldwide.
More on the Bio-XK Series
The miPASS Bio-XK Series range offers the ultimate security by combining leading-edge fingerprint scanning technology and encryption for secure user verification and authentication, limiting exposure through lost or stolen access cards. Card holder's access control data and fingerprint template is encoded directly into the memory chip on the miPASS card, which is secured with BQT's encryption keys protecting the card holder's information from being compromised. The Bio-XK Series reads the cardholder's data from the memory chip of a miPASS card and only transmits to a door controller once a valid finger has been presented. In addition to the smart card reader + fingerprint verification device, the BIO-XK is fitted with a 4 x 3 keypad and 4 programmable function keys.
Authentication is performed locally within the Bio-XK Series reader and does not require reference to a centralised database, thus improving performance by minimising verification time and eliminating privacy concerns. The 1:1 matching method eliminates False Acceptance Rates (F.A.R) normally prone to 1:N (1 to many) systems.Ideal for new site installations or security enhancements of any existing access control systems using 13,56 MHz cards and reader technology, the Bio X Series offers a cost effective solution for high security requirements.
Available in three different models, the miPASS Bio-XK
1) Fingerprint + card + pin pad
2) Fingerprint + card
3) Stand Alone (no card)
Series range caters for all high level security requirements large or small, whether your projects are price or functionality driven.
