Michaniki S.A. Orders an AgustaWestland Grand Helicopter
AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that Michaniki S.A. of Greece has placed an order for a Grand light twin turbine engine helicopter in VIP configuration. This purchase marks the entrance of the Grand in the Greek commercial helicopter market and further confirms the steadily growing success of this AgustaWestland model in the European market.
A new light twin helicopter developed to meet a wide range of market requirements, the Grand provides levels of cabin space and payload that until now could only be met by larger, more expensive helicopters. Distinguishing features are its spacious passenger cabin, superior performance, advanced avionics, high safety levels, low operating costs and excellent serviceability.
The Grand's characteristics have enabled it to become the reference helicopter in its class in the VIP/corporate market place worldwide since its launch in 2004. Orders for over 230 helicopters have now been placed by more than 130 customers in almost 30 countries worldwide. The Grand is now widely used for a range of missions including VIP/corporate transport, EMS and SAR purposes. The Grand is also perfectly suited for government and offshore transport missions.
