AIS wins follow on order for German missile programme

Following the successful completion of the design, qualification and initial production deliveries, Atlantic Inertial Systems (AIS) has received a production order from Diehl BGT Defence GmbH worth circa $3m, for the second batch of its SiARS Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Inertial measurement Unit for the US/German Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM). AIS has been involved in this programme for a number of years and anticipates receiving annual production orders into the next decade.

"The SiARS MEMS Inertial Measurement Unit utilises the unique capability of the AIS MEMS sensor to provide high performance through-out a constantly high rolling mission profile and we are delighted to continue our support to Diehl BGT" commented Peter Armstrong, Vice President Business Development at AIS.
