BAE SYSTEMS AWARDED U.S. NAVY CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR IDENTIFICATION SYSTEMS
BAE SYSTEMS has been awarded a U.S. Navy contract to provide engineering and technical services for identification systems for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), St. Inigoes, Md. The contract has a potential ceiling value of $117 million if all options are exercised. Under the contract, BAE SYSTEMS will provide systems design, development, integration, test and evaluation, installation, certification, and maintenance, support. Support will also include technical services, materials, and data to support the NAVAIR mission.
"We have a strong and long-established partnership with NAVAIR that has developed with this program over the past 30 years,� said Bruce Hamilton, president, BAE SYSTEMS Technology Solutions. "We look forward to continuing to meet the evolving combat identification requirements of U.S. military forces by providing the services and technology for them to effectively execute their mission.�
Work will be performed by BAE SYSTEMS Electronic Systems business unit in California, Md., and will be completed by April 2008. Team-mates include American Electronics, Inc.; Compliance Corporation; J.F. Taylor; SFA; and Advanced Engineering Applications, Inc.
