Sepura wins contract at the new Grand Prix in Spain

Sepura has won the contract to supply TETRA digital radios for the security and corporate hospitality staff at this year's Grand Prix of Europe, which is being staged for the first time in Valencia, Spain on August 24.

The contract follows the choice of Sepura for many other high profile sports events, and emphasises its position as market leader in the supply of TETRA radios in Spain.

This inaugural Grand Prix will be run annually for the next seven years, along a street circuit that has been constructed specifically for the event. It passes along the harbourside, which has been revitalised and is now ready for the roar of Formula One engines.

The contract to supply the radios was secured by D-Tetra, Sepura's partner in Spain. Ricard Vallès, D-Tetra's Commercial Director, said: "It's a prestigious order to win, and it illustrates the progress that D-Tetra and Sepura are making across the country. It's a new race on a newly-built street circuit, and the city is really looking forward to it!"

Emanuele Algieri, Sepura's Regional Director for Mediterranean Europe, added: "Spain continues to demonstrate the success of TETRA, with many emergency services and airports now using our radios."
