Government of Mendoza increases Sepura order by 30 per cent
The Government of Mendoza in Argentina has placed a further order for the region's police force, to increase its number of Sepura TETRA digital radios by 30 per cent.
This brings forward, ahead of schedule, the planned enlargement to the police force's fleet of hand-held and mobile radios. A number of the radios are also being deployed to the region's municipal authorities and to the ambulance service.
It confirms Mendoza's satisfaction with the large number of Sepura radios deployed over the past two years, and emphasises Sepura's growth in South America.
Intema, Sepura's distribution partner in Argentina, secured the order, together with Telmex, the system integrator, and with support from Rohde Schwarz, the infrastructure provider and Fedetec, the supplier of the emergency service system.
David Chapiro, President of Intema, Sepura's distributor in Argentina, said: "This is the largest TETRA project in Argentina, which is achieving its goals through excellent partners, such as Sepura. The radios are versatile, robust and designed for harsh public safety environments."
Tim Mills, Sepura's Regional Director in South America, said: "It's excellent news for Sepura. The Mendoza region is a good example of Sepura providing both first-class products and unrivalled technical support and customer care."
