Telair Opens New World Headquarters
MIESBACH, GERMANY, October 16, 2003: Telair International, a Teleflex Company (NYSE:TFX), has formally opened its new World Headquarters in Miesbach. The facility significantly expands core design and manufacturing resources and adds state-of-the-art test facilities. Most importantly, a new full-scale "mock-up� laboratory has been included to rapidly validate Telair's newest lower deck cargo loading systems to customer-specific conditions.
"The new capabilities the facility provides are key to our aggressive growth strategy,� said Telair President Axel Hauner. "The building also allows us to consolidate functionality under one roof, which will improve operating efficiencies.�
Opening ceremonies for the 10.000 square meter facility were be attended by more than 150 representatives of the aerospace industry, including management from Boeing and Airbus, customer carriers, suppliers, and national, regional, and local members of government.
"Over the past 35 years Telair has evolved from a small local operation into a truly global company that shares the entrepreneurial spirit and vision for growth of our parent organization, Teleflex Incorporated,� said Telair President Axel Hauner.
