Telair Receives New Order For Hardened ULD's

Telair International, a Teleflex Company (NYSE:TFX), announced today that it has received an order for seven Hardened Unit Load Devices (HULD's), designed to carry targeted baggage and safely contain a threatening explosion from within. Due to security reasons, the name of the customer, specific application, and date of delivery of the units were not disclosed.

"We believe HULD's represent one of the least-cost and fastest solutions to enhancing passenger and cargo safety, said Telair President Axel Hauner. "This order acts to again underscore that Telair has the unique technology and positioning to lead in this emerging market. Initial orders for the Telair HULD, also non-disclosed, began earlier this year.

The Telair HULD is the first hardened ULD to pass FAA blast tests and receive an FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO-C90) approval. The Telair HULD is made from a proprietary weave of Dupontâ„¢
Kevlar®* material and implements innovative design techniques. Also the lowest-weight HULD available, the product earned the prestigious 2002 Pinnacle Award from the Composites Fabricators Association, prevailing over 26 other world-class technologies.
