BAE SYSTEMS LAUNCHES NEW REGIONAL AIRCRAFT CUSTOMER WEB PORTAL
BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has launched a new web portal (www.regional-services.
com) as the first stage of an initiative to create a single website through which all of its online services will be available.
Currently Regional Aircraft has four websites that provide communications and services covering Spares on the Web, Electronic Fleet Data Management System, Technical Information and Marketing and Communications. These four have been amalgamated into one site that will mean more effective communication with the entire customer base.
The new site consists of two distinct areas. The first section contains general information on Regional Aircraft, its products and services and is the medium through which news and communications is published.
The second section is password-protected and restricted to customers, partners and employees and focuses on the service and organisation dedicated to supporting operators. This section also allows customer-specific messages to be displayed.
Redirects are in place for users of the existing sites to be transferred across to the new customer portal, which will be further developed during the course of 2004. The new site establishes the platform for future e-business development.
