King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) signs two contracts with SELEX Galileo
The King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) has signed two contracts with SELEX Galileo. These contracts include delivery of SELEX Galileo's PicoSAR and cutting edge ESCAN radar technologies for joint research, development and demonstration purposes, and a series of training and industrial participation modules centred around SELEX Galileo's world renowned radar expertise.
The PicoSAR contract is the third over the last few months for this innovative, compact, high performance SAR/GMTI radar, the ideal solution for challenging UAS surveillance applications.
These contracts further advance SELEX Galileo's high technology partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its relationship with KACST and signify the strong, effective link between the two parties who signed their formal collaboration agreement in 2010 (some 18 months after the initial MoU).
SELEX Galileo is developing its relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its limited liability company, SELEX Galileo Saudi Arabia (SGSA), wholly owned by SELEX Galileo and established in 2010. With offices in Riyadh, SGSA participates in key defence events as well as working with Saudi Arabian companies and Academia to strengthen ties between the Kingdom and SELEX Galileo.
