TELAIR Receives Cathay Pacific Order For B747-400F Cargo System
TELAIR International, a Teleflex Company, announced today that Cathay Pacific Airways has selected the TELAIR Cargo Loading System to serve both the main and lower decks of the new B747-400F Freighter ordered from Boeing and scheduled for delivery to the airline in February 2005.
The selection is in addition to TELAIR's recently announced agreement to provide their system to Cathay Pacific for at least six (6) - and as many as twelve (12) - Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft the airline will begin converting into B747 Special Freighters next year through 2007.

The advantages of the TELAIR Cargo Loading System include its intelligent products with a number of innovative designs, such as unique big PDU that enhance system performance and CMC, an interactive on-board diagnostics system for reducing maintenance.
The systems will be installed, as a BFE application through Boeing, prior to the delivery of the aircraft and has replaced the current systems used in the existing Cathay B747F fleet after a thorough re-evaluation of the industry comparative advantage.
