Jordan Aerospace Industries Launches Light Aircraft Surveillance Solutions
Jordan Aerospace Industries (JAI) the first and only private aircraft manufacturer in the Middle East introduces a new aircraft to its range of products. The Gulf Bird Observer is a light aircraft surveillance solution specifically designed to effectively perform such tasks as border patrol, crime prevention, coast guard, homeland security, airborne law enforcement, pipeline patrol, natural disaster coordination, search & rescue, environmental monitoring, etc.
"The JAI manufactured Gulf Bird Observer is ideally suited for aerial surveillance and patrol tasks performing with maximum effectiveness and lowest overall costs possible Captain Muayad Al Samaraee President & CEO of JAI says. Additionally the Gulf Bird is a short take off and landing (STOL) aircraft landing and taking off from unpaved and rough fields.
Such tasks that are traditionally carried out by helicopters or large aircraft at very high costs can be conducted by the Gulf Bird Observer at higher efficiencies due to its high flying range which is 50% higher than a helicopter and higher safety due to its safety and recovery parachute system within the cabin. Significantly lower purchase and operating costs are also an advantage with the Observer as it uses car fuel with low maintenance and running costs due to lightweight structure and low fuel consumption.
JAI's airplanes have various applications ranging from flight training to patrol and surveillance to civil defense, police and custom department uses. The airplanes are also used for aerial photography, agricultural spraying and air ambulance as well as for marketing, advertising, sports and recreational activities.
JAI's manufacturing plant inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah II in February 2004 is located in the Private Free Zone at Queen Alia International Airport.
