Telair Narrowbody Group Certified As A Design Organization
Telair International, a Teleflex Company, announced today that the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration, a member of
the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA), has conferred an Approval Certificate (LFV.JA.02) to Telair International to operate as a Design Organization in Sweden. The certificate allows Telair's Narrowbody Group, located in Lund, Sweden to independently design components and systems for aviation industry customers.
"With this certification Telair is now able to design narrowbody cargo loading components and systems directly to the requests and specific needs of carriers worldwide,� said Anders Helmner, Vice President, Telair Narrowbody Group. "Operating at the design level directly with carriers is extremely important to ensuring their satisfaction and thus to our growth strategies for the Sliding Carpet System and other products going forward.�
Telair is one of only two industry suppliers to have ever been validated and approved as a Design Organization in Sweden.
The Sliding Carpet System provides carriers the opportunity for cost reductions by reducing damage to aircraft and baggage, manpower requirements, and injuries to cargo handlers among other benefits. More than 2500 installed systems today serve over 50 carriers worldwide, proving to be 99.9 percent reliable.
