Bond Offshore Helicopters signs new contract with Premier Oil
Contract will be serviced by Bond's first S-92 aircraft
28 March 2013. Bond Offshore Helicopters Ltd (Bond), one of the UK's leading providers of energy support services, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a new contract with Premier Oil plc.
The contract is to provide crew change flights for the independent exploration and production company. Services started on the 4th of March and the contract will run for three years with options to extend. Premier Oil has equity interests in nine producing fields as well as a number of current and future development projects in the UK North Sea.
The new contract will be serviced by a new Sikorsky S-92 aircraft, the first of this aircraft type to be operated out of Aberdeen by Bond.
The new aircraft was registered in Norway last month, before being flown to the UK. It will be operated under an arrangement with Bond's sister company Norsk Helikopterservice (NHS). The aircraft is one of 16 ordered by Bond's parent company Avincis Group in 2011.
