Air France Selects Telair Cargo Systems For Fifth B747-400ERF
Telair International, announced today it has received a firm order from Air France for main deck and lower deck cargo loading systems for the airline's fifth B747 Extended Range Freighter. The systems will be installed by Boeing as Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) prior to delivery of the aircraft in June 2005.
"We are extremely proud to have such an industry leader as Air France validate and select our cargo loading systems for all five of their critical B747-400 Extended Range Freighters, said Axel Hauner, Telair President. "Low system weight is of course extremely important on these freighters and Telair delivers both weight savings and robust performance. The fact that this prestigious customer continues to invest in our technology and service speaks strongly of what Telair brings to the industry today and will continue to do so in the future.
In addition to low weight, Telair Cargo Loading Systems feature uniquely intelligent power drive units that sense and react to operating conditions to protect themselves from damage and thus minimize potential aircraft downtime.
Further, an industry-first interactive on- board diagnostics helps the carrier to optimally schedule preventive system maintenance.
Telair International has served the airline industry for more than 35 years and is today aggressively transforming itself into the premier "one-stop shop for all cargo-handling solutions - widebody cargo loading, narrowbody cargo loading, cargo containment products including blast resistant ULD's, and aftermarket services. Telair also provides an expanding line of hardened ballistic panels and cockpit doors and is a leader in actuators for commercial and military aircraft. Telair maintains 24/7 facilities on four continents.
