Selex ES at SITDEF in Peru to show its state of the art information superiority and situational awareness capabilities
Selex ES is a newly created electronics and information technology company, integrating the capabilities of the former Selex Galileo, Selex Elsag and Selex Sistemi Integrati companies, which can offer a wide range of advanced defence and security electronic solutions that provide systems to deliver robust, high integrity solutions across all sectors and domains.
The company has been in Peru since the late 1970's with its Air Traffic Control systems installed at "Jorge Chavez" Lima international airport. More recently, in 2010, Selex ES was awarded a contract to supply to the Peruvian Military Navy (MGP) with two KRONOS multifunctional 3D radars which are currently being installed on board of the "Aguirre" Class Frigates (former) "Lupo" Class). Selex ES is also present in Peru with maritime surveillance and security systems like the Seaspray 7000E radars installed on board the Navy F-27 and Beechcraft patrolling aircraft, and VHF/UHF tactical communication radios in operation within the Joint Command (Comando Conjunto) forces for the management of the VRAE area.
