navAero achieves TCCA Validation of EASA B737 STC for t.Bagâ„¢C22 Electronic Flight Bag System

navAero announces the t.Bagâ„¢C22 Electronic Flight Bag system Supplementary Type Certificate (STC) 0010014973 for Boeing 737-300/400/500/600/700/800/900 series aircraft has achieved validation by Transport Canada.

The EASA STC certification has been entered into the national index of STC that have been reviewed and accepted by Transport Canada for installation of Canadian-registered aircrafts.

navAero customer Thomson Airways, part of TUI UK & Ireland, required both EASA and TCCA validation of the navAero STC so to enable seamless leasing and operation of its aircrafts deployed with the navAero EFB system to Canadian-based Sunwing Airlines. Through the support of the navAero engineering resource, Scandinavian Avionics Design GMBH, the EASA STC 0010014973 was efficiently and seamlessly processed and approved by Transport Canada.

The STC architecture consists of cross-connected dual t.Bag C22 EFB systems with the t.Padâ„¢ series displays at both the pilot and co-pilot stations. All of the tï‚–Pad series display are included in this STC: Models 1100, 1200, 1500 and 2000. The EFB system also includes ARINC 429 and 717 data connectivity to onboard systems through the navAero Aircraft Interface Device (AID). The EFB system also provides wireless communications capabilities for on-ground data transfer through either 3G or 802.11b/g.
