Russian new aircraft in the sky over Le Bourget
At the International Paris Air Show 2013, Russian manufacturers will be presenting the Su-35 multi-mission fighter, Yak-130 combat training aircraft and Ka-52 scout/attack helicopter. The participation of these aircraft in demonstration flights will be among the highlights of the show. On the international market they are offered by Rosoboronexport, part of the Rostec State Corporation.
All in all, Rosoboronexport will be presenting information on more than 100 models of Russian aviation equipment and armaments. Among them are the Su-30MK-series and MiG-29M/M2 fighters, Mi-28NE attack helicopter, Mi-35M transport/combat helicopter, Ka-226T light helicopter, Mi-26T2 heavy-lift helicopter, and Mi-17-series military/transport helicopters.
"The demonstrations of the latest Russian aircraft models at the largest international air show are a symbolic event. The Su-35, Ka-52 and Yak-130 are now in production for the national Air Force and right now we have approached the stage of their export deliveries. We are negotiating all the three aircraft and hope to sign contracts,"- said the Head of Rosoboronexport's Air Force Department Sergey Kornev, who leads the Company's delegation at the exhibition.
Rosoboronexport will be also presenting all types of aircraft weapons designed to destroy air, ground and surface targets at different distances. The Company offers aircraft weapons not only as part of the Russian aircraft systems - they can also be adapted for use with foreign-made airplanes and helicopters.
A special place in Rosoboronexport's display will be given to air defense weapons. In particular, the experts will be able to get acquainted with the performance characteristics of the Igla-S MANPADS, Pantsir-S1 SPAAGM system, Tor-M2E and Buk-M2E SAM systems, Antey-2500, one of the most powerful export Russian long-range air defense missile systems, as well as a number of other systems. Air defense assets will be for the first time presented using an interactive exhibition complex.
A new laser inertial navigation system, the LINS-100RS, from RS Alliance, a Russian-French company, will be also on display at Rosoboronexport's stand.
Aviation equipment and armaments traditionally account for the largest share of total deliveries made through Rosoboronexport (37% in 2012). The helicopters have become the fastest-growing segment - it grew by 40% in 2012 in comparison with 2011. Comparable figures are expected this year as well.
Rosoboronexport hopes to maintain its leading position in the combat aircraft market. Along with the active promotion of the newest Su-35 multi-mission fighter, the Su-30MK-series fighters still remain in demand and Russian industry is ready to offer their upgrade so that they are capable of using the latest air weapons.
Given recent trends in the international arms market, Rosoboronexport is ready for full-fledged industrial cooperation and joint development of new models in addition to export of final products. One of the best examples of such cooperation is the work with India on the licensed production of Su-30MKI fighters as well as the development of the fifth-generation fighter and MTA multi-purpose military transport aircraft.
Rosoboronexport expects that its participation in the Paris Air Show 2013 will demonstrate to foreign partners Russian industry's increased capabilities.
