Sagem delivers 10,000th APIRS inertial reference system,
for an ATR 72-600 regional turboprop
Sagem (Safran) has delivered its 10,000th APIRSTM inertial reference system, which will be fitted to an ATR 72-600 regional turboprop. .
The APIRS is an attitude and heading reference system, and the first link in an integrated flight control chain. It features high reliability, easy integration and selfcalibration in flight. Built around a fiber optic gyro (FOG), the Sagem APIRS perfectly meets the needs of avionics suites on regional aircraft and helicopters.
