NEW ORION Non-Linear Junction Detector Demonstrated at DSEI
International Procurement Services Limited (IPS) and Research Electronics International (REI) demonstrated the NEW ORION 2.4 Lightweight Non-Linear Junction Detector on Stand No.N10-340 at DSEI 13 at Excel London from the 10th to 13th September, 2013.
The NEW ORION 2.4 Non-Linear Junction Detector will detect the presence of electronics as small as SIM cards or mobile phones, regardless of whether the electronics target is radiating, hard wired, or even turned off. It can be used to locate hidden or unauthorised electronics or recording devices in boardrooms, offices or meeting places, in walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures, packaging, furniture or containers.
This latest version of the NEW ORION 2.4 lightweight Non-Linear Junction Detector benefits from a 2.4 GHz transmission frequency offering improved detection of smaller electronics, an increased power of 3.3 Watts, which is adjustable manually or automatically, a wide bandwidth transmission signal of 1.25 MHz that increases detection sensitivity, an antenna mounted display providing line-of-sight target focus for the user, and digital modulation and correlation providing increased sensitivity and minimizes interference.
The NEW ORION 2.4 is small enough to operate as a hand-held NLJD but also has a telescopic handle that extends to 1.5 m, for ease of sweeping ceilings, moulding, fixtures, and other hard to reach areas. The single body construction weighing just 1.4kg (3lbs) is water resistant and requires no assembly. It is powered by 110-240V AC or a 10.8V Li-Ion rechargeable battery, with a typical battery life of approx 6 hours.
