Curtiss-Wright Debuts New COTS-based Cross Domain Guard Information Assurance Solutions
Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions, a business group of Curtiss-Wright Controls, has announced the expanded capability of its COTS-based solutions for defense and aerospace system designers seeking reliable, cost-effective Cross Domain Guard embedded security for classified information on rugged deployed systems. Curtiss-Wright's new Cross Domain Solutions include pre-tested and validated support for Radiant Mercuryâ„¢ on Curtiss-Wright's rugged VPX3-1257 3U OpenVPXâ„¢ single board computer (SBC), provided under its new System Ready Application (SRA) initiative.
Radiant Mercuryâ„¢, an UCDMO-listed CDS-T Cross Domain Guard software solution, was developed by the US Navy and is serviced by Lockheed Martin for industry use. It enables the control and filtering of data transferred between different security domains.
Without adding additional costs, Curtiss-Wright's pre-verified SRA solutions remove integration and interoperability design risk from the process of integrating new application functionality into embedded systems. The availability of pre-qualified and validated SRAs, such as Cross Domain Solutions, for use with specific Curtiss-Wright COTS modules will significantly speed the integration of new capabilities into embedded systems since test and verification have already been performed.
A Radiant Mercuryâ„¢/VPX3-1257 module provides the capability to write-encrypt-filter-record and store information in a Multi-Level Security environment. It will enable system integrators to quickly and cost-effectively integrate Cross Domain-based Information Assurance (IA) services on all types of deployed military platforms. In addition to SWaP-optimized slot module-based Cross Domain Solutions that can be integrated into open-standards chassis, Curtiss-Wright's Radiant Mercuryâ„¢-enabled hardware will also be available integrated into standalone fully integrated subsystems offered by partner companies.
