Optex Wins Award at Detektor International Awards 2004
Optex's new range of Digital Active Infra-Red Beams (AX-350/650MKII [see attached image]) has won the award for Best Alarm Product at the Detektor International Awards, held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The new Digital AX Range is the World's First Active Infra-Red Beam to replace the old analogue technology with digital. The new technology provides even greater stability and detection performance in the harshest conditions and environment.
The judges, who come from the security industry across Europe, said of the new AX Range:
"This generation of unique digital photoelectric detectors, creates a new concept in active infrared detection, which offers numerous practical and technological benefits over the traditional analogue technique. This product introduction is a true leap in detection technology.
The new Digital AX Range of Active Infra-Red Beams provides coverage of up to 200m outdoor, making them ideal for perimeter protection of any site. Their reliability and stability also means they are suitable for use on even the most sensitive or high risk sites.
Optex has excellent debut at APTS 2004
In November 2004, Optex attended the 2nd Airports, Ports and Terminal Security Exhibition at Olympia in London. Exhibiting its wide range of active and passive infra-red detectors, Optex impressed the visiting officials with not only their knowledge of infra-red technology, but also the range of applications that Optex products are suitable for.
At the forefront of Optex's product portfolio was the new Super Redwall® range of specialist external passive infra-red detectors and Rednet active infra-red beam system, which uses a 16 beam pattern for unbeatable detection capability. Both ranges are designed specifically for use alongside CCTV systems and are currently used across the globe in applications on sites ranging from commercial to high risk military.
Optex joins BSIA and JSIC
Optex has maintained its position as one of the leading manufacturers in the security industry by successfully becoming a member of both the British Security Industry Association and the Joint Security Industry Council. Optex is very proud to have gained membership to these two organisations as it enables Optex to become more involved in moving the industry forwards as well as giving Optex access to all the benefits that come with membership.
