Peryphon Launches Latest Generation Military Tactical Modem and FXS Field Phone
Peryphon Development will launch the latest generation of its military tactical modem and FXS field phone at LAAD 2015. Dozens of units will soon be supplied to a leading defense integrator.
The FXS/MODEM Tactical Telephone is a universally usable field phone which is compact, low weight (3.2kg), waterproof, and protected from extreme weather conditions, vibrations and ballistic shocks (Mil-STD compliant).
Operating even when the parties are separated by long distances, the phone uses military wires thru the modem. It can operate in FXS or Modem modes. In FXS mode, it works at a distance of up to 20 kilometers, with minimum loop current of 7mA. In Modem mode, it transmits full-duplex and data rates of up to 5.7 Mbps over 2 wires. The phone can operate with external devices connected to the audio connector using a H250/U handset - and speaker mode, using an audio U-183 connector. In addition, it can connect to a computer or headset.
