Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience, Asia 2016-10-06 07:03:20
Update from DAY 2 of the CIPRA Conference saw the continuation of a ‘twin' track approach with sessions examining both CIP and CIIP.
Infrastructure protection had a focus on the Transport, Energy and Telecoms sectors whilst the topics for consideration within the Information protection session were the latest strategic perspectives around Cyber Analysis, Monitoring and Defence. A very topical subject under discussion was the significant developments of national Cyber Emergency Response Teams in particular within Malaysia and Thailand.
The later morning sessions saw an emphasis on emerging technologies, their use and the processes surrounding them. There was significant interest in the screening and biometric applications being delivered within the aviation industry and some interesting updates on the use of UAVs.
