Hawkeye Electro Optic Vehicle, Fixed and Combat Systems are the subject of discussions on the Chess Dynamics stand (05-C31) during IDEX 2017.

The Hawkeye Electro-Optic (EO) family employs the latest image processing and system automation techniques to reduce the dependence upon the operator’s time and skills. This also reduces the workload and training requirements.

The surveillance systems on display include the vehicle, fixed or semi-permanent and combat system options.  These can be fully integrated with other surveillance systems such as radar, to provide an automatic detection and tracking solutions for 24 hour operations.

The Hawkeye CS or Combat System is a rugged, compact EO equipment designed to meet the exacting requirements for turreted and non-turreted AFVs.  The fully stabilised, gimballed unit incorporates the latest MWIR (medium wave infra red) thermal imager, a high resolution daylight TV camera and an eye safe laser range finder.

The fixed system, Hawkeye FS is for installations where long range surveillance is important.  It can operate as either a standalone unit or be part of an area network integrated with radars, ground sensors, optical and acoustic warning systems.

The vehicle system or Hawkeye VS is designed for vehicle mounted mobile operations.  Like all the Hawkeye family it has an open architecture so that it can be easily integrated with other sensors to facilitate a networked battle or sensor management system.  The EO cameras can be mast mounted and used whilst on the move.

All the Hawkeye systems feature advanced image processing and built in is automatic target detection, target tracking, situational awareness panoramic displays and video recording and still frame capture with the associated meta data for intelligence analysis and evidence capture.
