Satcom Direct Introduces International Global One Number Prefix Assignments

New service lets international aviation customers use the same country code as their home base

Satellite Beach, FL, August 12, 2005—Satcom Direct, Inc., has introduced a new service, International Global One Number, or iGON, that allows customers to have "home country telephone number prefixes assigned to their aircraft and eliminates the need for callers to dial a U.S.-prefix routing number when sending voice, fax or data calls. Especially helpful for calls going to the aircraft's home country, iGON allows an operator's aircraft to use the same country code prefix as its home base. Available immediately for aircraft based in France (+33), Italy (+39), Spain (+34), Sweden (+46), Switzerland (+41) and the United Kingdom (+44), the new iGON service will be expanded to other countries as market conditions dictate.

"This is an idea we developed in response to our international customers' requests, said Jim Jensen, President and CEO of Satcom Direct. "As the leading provider of worldwide Satcom service, Satcom Direct makes every effort to try and help our customers feel more comfortable with their aircraft communications, and our iGON service is another way to do that," he commented.

An extension of Satcom Direct's signature service, Global One Numberâ„¢, which enables companies to streamline fleet communications for their aircraft, boats or land mobile vehicles, iGON enhances the convenience of one-number calling for international operators. Easy to implement and requiring no aircraft down time, iGON is available for a nominal monthly service charge.
