Aerolineas Ejecutivas Signs A Contract For Five Helicopters Plus 37 Options And Is Appointed AgustaWestland Distributor In Mexico
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Aerolineas Ejecutivas of Mexico has signed a five year distribution agreement that includes an initial contract for five helicopters comprising two A109 Power and single examples of the A119 Koala, Grand and AW139, plus options for 37 helicopters over the next five years. The helicopters will be produced at AgustaWestland's production facilities in Philadelphia, USA and Vergiate, Italy.
This latest agreement follows the appointment in February 2006 of Aerolineas Ejecutivas S.A. as the AgustaWestland authorized Service Centre in Mexico. Aerolineas Ejecutivas S.A. located at Toluca International Airport outside of Mexico City provides maintenance and repair services as well maintaining a spare parts inventory for a range of AgustaWestland helicopters including the A119 Koala, A109 Power, Grand and AW139.
Today approximately 40 AgustaWestland aircraft are in service in Mexico. With the fleet in Mexico and the region growing, AgustaWestland and Aerolineas Ejecutivas are now providing ever improving levels of service to its customers and both agreements will benefit existing and future operators of AgustaWestland helicopters in the region.
