RESON A/S to exhibit new sonar systems at IDEF09
Danish company, RESON A/S, world-leading manufacturer of high quality underwater acoustic sensors, echosounders, multi-beam sonar systems, transducers & hydrophones, will be exhibiting their SeaBat range of sonar systems at IDEF 09 - the 9th International Defence Industry Fair, in Istanbul, Turkey, from the 27th to 30th April 2009.
RESON's series of SeaBat multibeam sonars have gained a world wide reputation for their capability to provide high-resolution bathymetry and imagery data in real time for extremely detailed 3-D representation of underwater features and seabed conditions.
At IDEF, RESON will be presenting their recently launched new version of the well-known SeaBat 7125 multibeam sonar system, designed especially for easy installation on small surface vessels and with the same exceptional performance, together with:
The SeaBat 7128 forward-looking sonar system provides detection and high- resolution images of intruders, allowing rapid and accurate classification. It operates at 200 or 400 Hz and illuminates a 128-degree horizontal sector.
The SeaBat 7123 advanced MCM sonar, operating at 110/240 and 455 kHz, reliably detects and classifies mine like objects at long ranges and in difficult environments. It is designed for installation on surface ships or remotely operated vehicles.
The SeaBat 7112 can detect intruders at ranges of up to 700 meters, and can be used with equal effect being installed on a vessel mounted pole, hoist or wince; to be used as a portable force protection sonar. It operates at 100kHz and offers 360-degree horizontal coverage.
The SeaBat 7111 is a low cost solution to both fixed and mobile waterside security systems and is primarily used for intruder detection operations. It operates at 100kHz and illuminates a horizontal sector of up to 210 degrees.
Michael Giese, Global Marketing Manager of Reson, said "Our SeaBat sonar systems have become solutions within defence and security applications and provides unprecedented performance for naval and commercial systems in terms of accuracy, resolution, depth rating, and range. We very much look forward to demonstrating these strengths to visitors at IDEF"
